And we all shine on

Remember this post from Dovie? Her quote from The Killers? She had discussed it with me sometime that week and I couldn't get it out of my head. It just kept circling and swaying and being all pretty and lovely. It kind of made me smile at my husband more.

Then the strangest thing happened. I won a contest. At Design Mom. For Lisa Leonard Designs. I love blog contests. The ones I win. I had seen Lisa Leonard's beauties before and have always loved this necklace, that thing with birds that I have.

So I got to perusing her sight, since I was going to be the new owner of some serious lovelies. As I was choosing, Dove's quote was in my head, like I said, circling, maybe flitting about. So I chose this bracelet. And now it looks like this. I apologize for the pics, it is dark outside and I am writing this on the fly, so candid wrist shot it is.

Dove has been quite supportive in my blatant kidnapping of her idea (right Dove, it isn't just some super laid back act?). I love my bracelet and my necklace and Lisa Leonard. Her jewelry is all a bit organic to me. I love the offerings she has for men. Like this one. Should it say "Shine on", or something else? Father's Day is upon us and this is definitely not a tie. You could have your children's initials put on it.

Thanks Lisa! She said it would 2 weeks and the jewelry was here in a blink of an eye.

and don't forget to go for Amanda's spa post here. A comment left on her post is a vote for her.

I think you should get a tatoo - on your foot. By show of hands, who here has seen a really cool foot tatoo? Aren't they striking? I just saw one yesterday.

that is just so awesome that you won! And yes, great idea for a man who would wear a bracelet. My husband, not so much. He has to wear gloves at work all the time - and I'm sure this wouldn't be comfy.

But you're right - Lisa's designs are gorgeous and feel oh so organic. Love your bracelet!

The title of this post reminds me of doing a pepclub dance for homecoming. Something I wish that wouldn't take up my brain space. I can still do the dance and wish I could forget such nonsense. Love the bird necklace.
