Giveaway!

I think everyone is going to salivate over this one. Danielle of Cupcakes In Jars (and her etsy shop here) is going to make you like a kid in a candy store. Literally. Kind of. More like a kid in a cupcake store. Remember when I did this post back before Valentine's?

This week one winner will get a four pack sampler of cupcakes. You will get to choose four different flavors and they will arrive in the mail in all the organic goodness that is Cupcakes in Jars. And, for anyone reading this right now that doesn't want to wait, or wants to cheer a gal up with a cupcake, or send one to her husband's office, or better yet, you husbands that want to send one to your wife's "office", Danielle is giving all We Chirp readers 10% off any purchase, just enter the coupon code BLOG313 at checkout on her website (not her etsy shop).

So in We Chirp fashion, we had some questions for our lovely baker extraordinaire:

1. When did you catch the baking bug? When did it evolve into cupcakes?

I have been baking for as long as I can remember. I come from a long line of great Italian cooks, but no bakers. Someone needed to fill the void. I became serious about baking at around 12 or 13. The evolution process went from cookies to cakes to cupcakes.

2. Do you come up with your own concoctions? What is your creative process?

I read cookbooks the way normal people read real books. I have them in every room of the house. Years of reading them have taught me how to take from one recipe and lend to another. I am proud to say that all of my recipes are my own. I experiment a ton. I am inspired on a daily basis to come up with new flavors and techniques. Once I feel comfortable with a new flavor combination, I bring in the jury (my kids). They can make Gordon Ramsey and Simon Cowell look like pushovers.

3. Organic? Why?

Organic just tastes better. I use a lot of organic ingredients. I have tried many different products and find that organic ingredients are far superior to processed ingredients.

4. If you were an animal, which would you be? Why?

I would have to say one of those miniature designer dogs. They have really nice clothes and get to be toted around in a handbag. It doesn’t get better than that!

I think the names are my favorite thing - Bites in White Satin, Eclairway to Heaven, Yum Blonde in a Brown Shirt. I would choose the Sour Girl cupcake, it looks like it would melt in my mouth and make me smile as if I was in a commercial for Cupcakes in Jars.
To Enter:
1. Go to the Cupcakes in Jars shop, have a look around and leave a comment telling us which flavor you desire.
2. To receive another entry, email 4 of your friends about the giveaway or our blog and CC us on the email (wechirp@gmail.com), including our blog address in the message. One email per participant, I mean you can email as many people as you want (and we would love that) but only one entry will be counted.

3. To receive 2 entries, blog about his giveaway on your blog and then leave us a comment on this post telling us about it (include your blog address).

4. Another entry? Place our We Chirp button on your sidebar (found over on the right hand side of this lovely blog, at the top) and leave us a comment with your blog address. If you have already done that weeks ago, just tell us again.
5. New one! Become a follower. Just join as a follower in that cute little square on the right up there and leave us a comment saying you are a follower. Or if you are already a follower (way to be a trailblazer!) leave us a comment telling us so.
Remember to leave a seperate comment for each entry!
Happy drooling and have a great weekend!

5 ways to get 6 entries! Contest ends Wednesday the 18th at 11:59 pm MST.
Due to the perishable nature of these absolutely yummy and fresh cupcakes, contest open to continental U.S. residents only.
