Photo Shoot Giveaway!

Meet Heather Nan Photography. You probably have yet to hear of this little lady, but with enough hard work and heart you will, more and more. At least that is what she hopes for.
Heather is just about the most pleasant & lovable girl you will ever meet. She became interested in photography more seriously her last year in college after focusing all of her studies prior in Anthropology. She has since found that her anthropological background and passion for photography were one and the same...she totally digs people. "I revel in capturing the moments between the shots. I strive in sharing the essence of my clients along with their pure beauty".
We have to say that it shows. Rather than painting a pretty portrait, Heather's photos are intimate and genuine and tend to reveal character rather than just their physical nature. This seems rather important in children's photography, when personality traits just begin to emerge.

Being new to photography as a business (established in October, 2008), Heather is still discovering her place and particular strengths within the vast photographic world. Granted she spends much of her time shooting children, she appreciates all opportunities and is setting goals to shoot more weddings in the future. Getting married?
Heather is gifting one "We Chirp" reader with a free single portrait sitting and a 11 x 14 print from the session ($115 value). Know a little one aching for a spot in front of her lens? Or a senior in high school needing to capture this important moment in time? Follow the rules below, do a good deed and hope for grand winnings!
*Portrait session must take place in the Salt Lake Valley or surrounding areas, or if you live in Idaho...we can talk*

Heather is also offer 25% off her sitting fee if you book a session before the end of April. Need an Easter portrait or a "loving that it is almost summer" portrait? Inquire and book via email through heathernanphotography.com and mention "We Chirp".

Can you do something nice for someone without feeling great?

There was a Friends episode about it, remember?  How it is self-serving to do something good for others because you end up feeling good. Or something like that.  I guess I should catch syndication.

Anyways, our friend Heather over at heather nan photography (remember her from here and her vibrant, sparkly, happy pictures?) is doing something so so so selfish because she is not only making others feel good but it must be making her feel extremely good.  Of course, she isn't selfish.  I love this idea.  Heather is giving away a photo shoot worth $500 and she wants you to tell her who deserves it.  There is criteria, go here to read it all.  And the the next best part?  The nominator also gets a photo shoot!  I love nice people like Heather.  Nice, talented, giving people.  Please go to Heather's blog for all the details and be sure to nominate a deserving someone.

HNP Photo Giveaway Winner

Thought we would share some of the great things that come from being a "We Chirp" reader. Reader Julianna met up with Heather Nan Photography this last weekend and here are some the goods from the shoot...
Seriously, how lucky on both ends? Free shoot + adorable subjects = happy peeps. If you are wanting more, than jump over to Heather's blog for additional shots.

If you are need of some lovely pictures of you or your children, stop by Heather's website and make some arrangements... she is still offering 25% off a sitting fee if you mention "We Chirp".

Do it.

An Awesome Book, Literally.

Remember Heather Nan Photography who so generously donated a free photo shoot to a We Chirp reader? Well, she has returned today to tell all y'all about a stellar find. I checked this out and was so impressed. Here's what she has to say:
I enjoy reading to my child, but I am very
picky about the books I purchase or check out from the library. Why? All selfish reasons. Every parent knows once a child discovers a book they love, you will quickly be able to read it without turning a single page. This is why I choose books I want. Woo Hoo for me!
Recently, I discovered this grand little find by Dallas Clayton. The purchase for this book was two-fold. One, I am a sucker for the small business owner, especially when it comes to creativity (Loving Liv's dress? An Etsy find, here, local even!). Second, I am a lover of inspiration. And that's exactly what Mr. Clayton achieves, in his own quirky way.

So, if you are itching for some words and illustrations that will make you and your child smile (even if you don't have children and you need a little push for your own personal goals, it's worth it), order this gem. If you would like to read the book prior, go here and enjoy.
Thanks ladies for letting me share today....
~Heather
