By the numbers

243 - number of tulips in my front yard, yay, so pretty and nice to look at while I am nursing Jack.

7 - number of times I have asked Joey to stop bouncing on me and Jack while nursing today.

0 - number of times Joey stopped.

67 - number of times Joey has asked to watch "that funny music" since I got home last Thursday (I let my kids watch some of the music videos from glee).  He has now moved on to "Turn Around" and "Run Joey Run".

As many times as Joey has asked to watch it - number of times I have questioned why it says "FIN" at the end of Run Joey Run. Why does it say FIN?  Does anyone know?

8 - number of times I watched Run Joey Run before I figured out the dad was the old pedophile glee coach.

What can I say, glee makes me really happy.  And so does the fact that Friday Night Lights is back on.  And Tim Riggins.  Does it sound like I watch too much tv?  For some reason, reading while I nurse has never been my thing.  Watching tv is.  And now that there is glee, I can watch and watch and if my kids are hanging out, they request the music vids.

Once upon a time when I was in college, I lived in the sorority house with a bunch of gals.  At one point one sista, we'll call her Ginger, dated a guy named Jesse.  This was in between break ups with her now husband.  And every time Jesse would come over we would blast "Jessie's Girl".  And then, when they had finished dating and she was dating her now husband again, we would play it when he came over.  We weren't very nice.  Did you know that Finn is singing it tonight?

Two of My Favorite Things

Glee.  Flash Mob Dancing.  I want to start my own, who is in?

The Ohio State version is going to be my new fitness work out. Do you think they said "pad-a-bur-ray, Pad-a-bur-ray" (total phonetics people, I'm in a hurry).

Check out the cute little boy that is dancing at the beginning of Dublin. Only thing cooler would have been if Bono and the boys started singing.

Seattle, you complete me.

Nothing takes the edge of the NICU like a little glee and dance love.

Dress

I am re-watching the Madonna episode.  I can't get over it.  Any of it.  Happiness.  IN any case, I think the costuming is my favorite thing next to the music.  When I am back to my pre-baby-ness (I say when and quietly think if) I want to dress like Emma Pillsbury with a slight Quinn-ness and a tiny bit Rachel.  Do you know how many sights are dedicated to Emma and her style of dress?  Even my aunt was excited when she saw one of her skirts on Emma and saw a new way to wear it.  A quick look at an interview with the costume designer here.  How great would that job be?

Here are a couple of the sights that are all up in Glee style-bizness.

No words

I know, I am lame.  And unreliable.  But I am consistent in my love of Glee.  I was giddy watching it on Tuesday.  Giddy.  Then there is this.  And something has been bothering me about one of the dancers.  But I figured it out - the guy in the vid at :20  patting his face is Nathan from SYTYCD, right?  And I laugh out loud every time she sings "Will Shuester I hate you" because Kurt's face kills me.  I love him.

I have few needs right now (such a lie, I am a needy mess), but Glee makes me soooooo happy.  Am I right about Nathan from SYTYCD?  What did you think of the last episode?  Who wants to watch with me next time?

Glee, of course

Glee.  You know how I feel.  And my winter has been bleak without new episodes.  But that is all going to change Tues April 13th - just one week.  And thanks to the heads up from my friend Katie (because I don't watch Oprah *gasp*), she told me Oprah is airing a glee-riffic episode tomorrow, the 7th, and you can see some good behind the scenes footage and cast interviews.  It takes so little to make me happy.  Really.

Have you become a Gleek yet?  The soundtrack is a daily listen for me and the kids here.  My husband likes it too, until he finds out it is from Glee.  He is complex.

More Etsy Love and glee

Did you know that my daughter's name is Caroline? It is a lovely name and according to her, a song was written just for her. I showed her Puck's version and her response was, "Is there a Caroline sitting in those chairs or is he singing to me?"

And you know I am a bit over the moon for glee. So I will show you some of my picks for Miss C's birthday (which is terribly soon). Thanks Puck for being a strong leading man.

Caroline loves cupcakes, or "little cakes" as she calls them. She might be the girl who is in this print from Calobee Doodles.

How fitting for Caroline to have herself a doll named Caroline. I love the hair adornments and dolls from Sweet Pea Boutique.

She would more than lovely in this dress from 1 Crown and 3 Tiaras, she would twirl and love it.

Have I told you that Caroline is more in love with birds than I am? Here are a few she would love:

Whitebird Queen Perching Decoration from Royal Buffet.

Robin in Squash Yellow from Tumus.

And I think she might never take this off and have secret conversations and sing-a-longs with the blue bird on her shoulder in this costume from Little Lovely Ones.

I love etsy. I love glee. I love Caroline.

Walking on Sunshine, with etsy, glee style

Really, I love that show. I can't get enough. I panicked a bit when somehow in my heart a knew it wasn't dvr'ing at home. I called home and I was right - so luckily my husband supports this habit and started the dvr right away. Sweet, sweet man. Thank goodness for hulu.com so I could see the first 10 minutes.

So we are going to look at some etsy faves and blend them with some glee love.

I love the mash ups from last week, so we will try there first.

Halo - I love this from Untamed Petals. I really want to wear one. Do you think I could pull it off?

Walking on sunshine - my feet feel happy just looking at these butter ballet flats from spirocreations.

The boys mash up I was not as fortunate but for confessions, I loved this bird confessing to his little friend from the wonderful Terese Bast.

Will Shuester, your re-creation of Kanye's Gold Digger could totally beat him at any award show. Especially if Taylor Swift was wearing these earrings from Swede Bead Design when she presented it to you.

Somebody to Love - I've been a big fan of Hide N Seek for so long and absolutely love this print of hers.

What did I loved best from this last episode? Hard to narrow it down but I think that Finn struggles as a dancer in his normal state but I loved that he really couldn't control his gangly self all hyped up on Vitamin D. I thought he was going to hurt himself or someone near him. And when did those two dance boys join? That and the Cheerios coach's journal entry.

tick tock and you don't stop

Victor Garber? Could glee get any better? I love Victor Garber, from his days of Alias, then Eli Stone and now this. I am happy. He wasn't even listed as a guest, but a regular.

And, Kristen Chenoweth, Galinda and then Pushing Daisies and now doing a couple of guests of glee.

The Josh Groban part was funny, so funny.

And I love Bel Biv De Voe, reminds me of 8th grade. Mr. Shu does it well.

Am I too obsessed with this show? It is nothing but delight for the music lovin' soul. Are you watching?

So gleeful

I've already mentioned how excited I am about this show but I thought I should put it out there again. Fox is rebroadcasting the pilot episode of Glee this Thursday. Might I suggest you watch it? And smile, maybe cringe a bit, but then smile? I can't wait for the soundtrack.
