let your light so shine

I don't know about where you live, but in these parts, most homes are adorned with at least one plaque or vinyl sticker that has a saying on it.

Love makes a house a home

Life, Laugh, Love

Ummm, those are the only ones I can think of (though I'm sure there are many more) because I guess I don't commit them to memory. The non-conformist in me looks away before even registering what they read. I've never been a fan. I'm just that way. If it's popular, I don't even give it a chance. I did see one recently that I loved and would consider putting somewhere in my home (even as a magnet) because it reminds me of how I really want my life to be. Christy at A Lil Welsh Rarebit spoke of one that says Do Something Remarkable Every Day. Love it. Want to marry it.

ANYWAY, what I really want to say is this. Despite my loathing of said plaques, I came up with one in my head the other day that I do plan on having someday. I was out on a little run and listening to The Killers. Song: Read My Mind. A little line from one of their songs leapt out from it's obscure position and made me burning stoked for a second. I decided if/when I marry again this will be my goal:

I don't shine if you don't shine

Think about that for a minute and go make your lover shiney. What a beautiful world this would be if we all lived like that.

Here's the song if you want to hear it. It's killer.

Dove- I LOVE it! So simply put, and so true!!

as for the Dove auction, I think about this everyday. I know plenty of single guys who would adore her, but I think she is one VERY special lady and so far none of them are worthy. The perfect man is out there. Let's find him!!!

What's the criteria? I don't know anyone in Utah, but I'm curious anyway....

I don't know even one person with a plaque or saying on their walls...I think I'm going to order that remarkable one and I'll be the first. A trend setter, non-conformist I am!

Oh Mavis, you are so good to me. I'm curious about the req's too. Frankly, I'd be good if someone would auction off an assortment of the bowls found here for me:

Well, others know you better but I am going to have to say:
1. Taller than you and a healthy, chiseled build.
2. Blue eyes that turn green when he is happy.
3. Must like music, but the right kind of music.
4. Must be able to run an 8 minute mile without breathing hard.
5. Must make a fantastic grilled cheese sandwich.
6. Straight teeth.
7. Calve implants - or really fine calves.
What did I miss?
